Award Management

The Research Institute provides award administration support and program/project management services for faculty and staff conducting externally funding projects.  Each college and campus unit has been assigned a Project Development Officer (PDO) to serve as their single point of award administration.  Your PDO can assist you with establishing a Sponsored Project Account (SPA); hiring project staff, graduate assistants and undergraduate student workers; purchasing materials and supplies; processing subawards, consulting agreements and other procurements; scheduling project deliverables and reports; processing change orders, no-cost extensions and budget modifications;  closing-out your award; and managing all of your sponsored research regulatory compliance requirements.

Whether you are a first time funding recipient or an experienced Principal Investigator, we encourage you contact your cognizant PDO as soon as you learn of your award.  If you are unable to determine your PDO or you have questions regarding the award administration process, please contact us.
